    Hello,
    My 15 year old son has been asking for film making equipment for xmas. I know nothing and if someone could give me some kind of started list. A list I can take somewhere and
    buy this stuff. I want to go as cheap as possible. I know this is a VERY open question but any help would be deeply appreciated. Play like your giving your mother a christmas list.

    How old is your son?

    Just buy him a cheep as chips camcorder and let him go have fun with it.

    You can pick up a cheap dv camcoder now for under ?300.

    yep, id suggest a dead cheap DV camera with all the right connections to connect to your TV and video player.
